Government-Owned Refineries in Nigeria
- The Nigerian Government has four (4) oil refineries with a total combine capacity to produce 445,000 barrels per day.
- Rivers State has two (2) refineries while Kaduna also has two refineries but one of it produces Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB).
- According to the State Oil Corporation, NNPC, the four (4) refineries are currently shutdown.
Kaduna Refinery
- The Kaduna Refinery has a capacity to produce 110,000 barrels per day.
- The second refinery produces Linear Alkyl Benzene for the local manufacturing of detergents.
- The refinery is located at Kaduna, Kaduna State, Nigeria
Warri Refinery
- The Warri Refinery has a capacity to produce 125,000 barrels per day.
- Initially, the refinery had a capacity to produce 100,000 barrels per day but optimization increased its capacity to 125,000 barrels per day.
- The refinery is located at Ekpan, Warri in Delta State, Nigeria
Port Harcourt Refinery
- The Port Harcourt Refineries have a capacity to produce 210,000 barrels per day.
- The first refinery has the capacity to produce 60,000 barrels per day while the second refinery has the capacity to produce 150,000 barrels per day.
- The refinery is located at Alesa-Eleme, Port Harcourt in Rivers State, Nigeria
